So these are the products I am starting with on journey to natural hair.
1. Pantene Relaxed and Natural Intensive Moisturizing Shampoo. I am not totally in love with Pantene R&N line but this shampoo does it's job and smells pretty good. I only wash with shampoo about once every two/two and a half weeks.
2. Aussie Hair Insurance Leave in Conditioner. I love love love this product especially in conjuntion with product 3. It's a great spray for styling. If you haven't done anything to your hair and its really dry this is a good product to use in order to wet and comb your hair. I use it a lot when I just want to tie up my hair and run out the house. It also smells good.
3. BB Oil Moisturizer Hair Lotion with Castor Oil and Aloe. This is my favorite product. It really has helped soften my hair because before I started using this I would have chronic dry CRISPY hair...which is a big NO NO. I use it just about every day and when I am styling my hair. Smells wonderful!
4. Fantasia Heat Protector Straightening Spray. I advise ANYONE who straightens their hair to use a heat protectant spray. It is super important that you protect your hair from heat damage. I spray this all over my hair whenever I am using heat. Be it strainghtening or blowdrying. It also adds a nice shine to your hair while protecting it.
5. Keraphix Restorative Hair Strengthening Conditioner. This is Easily the MOST EXPENSIVE product I use at about $17-$18 from WAL MART. It does it's job. My hair is not breaking as much as it was before but it still has a ways to go. I use this conditioner a lot because I co-wash (conditioner wash) my hair about two times a week. Sometimes three. It pains me a little to pay so much for something that won't last me a long time because I use it so often but until I find something else this is worth the money.
I am no expert on which products to use. I decided on some of these after reading lots of hair care forums and blogs and other stuff I already had laying in my bathroom cabinet.
And I am currently on the lookout for a deep conditioner treatment.
